Best in Show Radio is a great podcast put out by a group of guys from Staten Island. I listen every week and so should you. They’re live tonight from 8-11 PM Eastern on HearUsTalk.
Really impressive and vibrant paintings of animals on fire from Josh Keyes.

I remember finding a Goonies II cartridge under a pine tree behind our backyard fence. It was there with well-worn and very dirty copies of such NES titles as Ghostbusters, RC Pro AM, Jaws, and Non-Mike Tyson Punchout. They belonged to a kid named Greg, who introduced himself to us as Champ, and had been hiding his games under this tree so that his little brother wouldn’t get to play them. I like to think he was called Champ because he succeeded so greatly in preventing his little brother from enjoying some very shitty Nintendo games, but he had expressed his love of video games and went as far as claiming that his Nintendo must be stronger than mine because he’s able to play with games he’d left outside all year round.
I never knew who to feel bad for: Champ or Champ’s little brother. Sure, Champ was dumb, but how stupid must his brother have been? After all, he never found the games, he never got to play them, and he showed a poor performance in some tournament known only to them, costing him the championship that his clinically retarded brother Greg loved to cling to.
They moved away after that summer and I’ve never found another video game in the woods since.
