I’d like to reblog a post to add a comment or something, but I don’t want it on my public-facing tumblelog because it would be insignificant to the outside reader and/or would require too much effort to explain the full context.
So, dashboard-only reblogging? I believe there are toxic fumes in my office right now, so that’s my excuse if this is completely ridiculous.
Comments are evil, Chris. The only way to respond to someone’s post is to take their entire article, put it on your website, and append text near the bottom. Trust me. Posting the same article, with varying editorial discretion, on as may tumblelogs as possible is the only way to keep a conversation threaded.
Now, let me apologize to my readers for this. I know you have no idea what we’re talking about, but at least this didn’t take place in an efficient and well designed comments system.
